I have a machine tool with 840D control, siemens axis and spindle motors. I need to physically check the spindle rolling torque to assess bearing preload. The control, hydraulics, drives, etc need to be enabled to create hydraulic pressure to a bearing. However with these all enabled the spindle motor is in "servo" lock and it cannot be turned.
